The financial report pointed out that in the first half of this year, the company's total crude steel output (overall) was 13.12 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3%. Among them, the output in India was 12.75 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3%; the output in the United States was stable at 370,000 tons.

It is reported that in the second quarter of fiscal year 2024-2025, the company successfully launched a 1 million tons/year expansion project at a plant owned by Bhushan Power and Steel in Odisha, India, increasing the total crude steel production capacity. Expanded to 4.5 million tons. In addition, at the end of the second quarter, its wholly-owned subsidiary also commissioned a blast furnace with an annual output of 4.5 million tons in Vijayanagar.

The company said its sintering plant and smelting shop are in various stages of commissioning and once fully operational, its total crude steel production capacity in Vijayanagar will be expanded to 17.5 million tons per year, while its crude steel production capacity in India will be expanded. Total steel production capacity expanded from 29.2 million tons/year to 34.2 million tons/year.
